How to Choose a Bouquet Size
Choose small, medium or statement flowers based on setting, product format and the seller’s real size description.
Match the bouquet to the recipient’s space and the gesture, then use the seller’s dimensions, stem range or comparison photo. Size names are not standardized across flower shops.
Step 1
Start with the setting
A compact arrangement can suit a desk, bedside or small apartment. A wider statement piece may be appropriate for a dining table, reception area or milestone event but needs enough surface space and a stable vessel.
Consider how the recipient will carry and display it. More flowers are not automatically more thoughtful when the arrangement becomes difficult to manage.
Step 2
Read the seller’s size definition
Small, medium and large are store-specific labels. Look for approximate dimensions, stem guidance, vessel inclusion and photos that show scale.
Designer’s-choice products may vary in stem count because flower size and value change. The seller should still define what increases at each price level, such as overall volume, premium focal flowers or vessel size.
Step 3
Keep budget and design aligned
Set a budget you are comfortable with and choose a product whose published example fits it. A smaller focused design can look more intentional than an underfunded request for a very large arrangement.
If scale is essential for an event or display, send the seller the required placement and dimensions through a custom inquiry rather than relying on a generic size label.
